DISTANCES
BEACHES
Perhaps one of the best ways to get to know the island’s countless beaches is boat trips, approaching, easily and safely, beautiful beaches and picturesque coves, avoiding overcrowding. The nearest beaches, accessible on foot from Aeolos Resort, are Agia Anna [fine sand, sunbeds umbrellas] and Megali Ammos [suitable for windsurfing in north wind as well as for spearfishing].
Heading to the south coastline, choose the famous beaches: Korfos [ideal for windsurfing, shallow water], Ornos [family beach with fine sand], Psarou [white sand, turquoise waters, the celebrities’ beach], Agia Anna [quiet beach], Platis Gialos [busy, organized sandy beach], and, of course, Super Paradise.
Northwards, Agios Stefanos [wonderful, long, organized sandy beach], Agios Sostis [quiet, remote, secluded sandy beach], Ftelia and Panormos [for windsurfing lovers], and Fokos [very private, quiet] are waiting for you. Lia beach, with coarse sand, clear waters, as well as Houlakia beach, with beautiful white pebbles, is among the quietest beaches of Mykonos.
There are two more excellent, large beaches on the south coastline, one of the most beautiful in Mykonos, loved by both locals and families, well organized, with ideal dining areas, provide water sports & entertainment facilities. 8 km far from Chora, you can find first the golden sandy beach of Elia, with fine sand and crystal-clear, turquoise waters. 2 km after, we come across the equally famous, long sandy beach in Kalo Livadi, which bears the title of the “hot spot of the VIPs,” with renowned beach bars for all-day entertainment.
